| THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOUR CHILD. |
We’re committed to improving the mental and physical faculties of your child. There’s no problem we haven’t defeated. My child is bullied, my child is the bully, my child doesn’t know how to defend himself, my child can’t focus, my child is overweight, my child is too timid, my child needs exercise and etc. |
Parents, Psychologists, and Pediatricians recommend Karate more and more for children of all ages. For instance Dr Amy Roman Silva has both of her kids at the Family Martial arts Academy this is what she stated “I've had my children at Family Martial Arts for over 3 years now. It has helped my children maintain an exercise regimen that has contributed to a healthy self esteem and healthy life." I recommend it to all my patient's parents.” Amada Romano-Silva MD |

| SELF-ESTEEM |
The Family Marital Arts gives children a reason to be proud. Let’s face it Karate is not just a sport it’s a way of life. It gives children a sense of pride and accomplishment for doing something worthwhile and positive. Karate is different from most elitist sports. It focuses on the individual. Karate doesn’t neglect any child. If you’re not quick enough you can’t be a running back; if you’re not strong enough chances are you won’t be defensive line men. In Karate if you’re dedicated you will become a Black Belt. If you’re dedicated you can achieve all your goals in life. Karate is more mental than physical. The instructors at the Family Martial Arts Academy will help your child by focusing on their weakness and cultivating their strengths. “My child was extremely shy. It seemed not only did he have one bully he had twenty. He cried the first day we walked into the Family Martial Arts Academy. Now his confidence has gone through the roof. “He’s a brown belt, does weapons, has won tournaments, and is proud. He walks with his back straight gives a firm hand shake and looks people in the eyes when he speaks. My son will never be a victim again in his life thank you Family Martial Arts.” Miriam Scatalazi |

| BATTLING OBESITY |
Everyone should be getting involved. According to the Surgeon Generals call to action regarding child hood obesity January 11, 2007. Child hood obesity as we all now is on the rise. We hear it from our doctors, and we also here about it from the Media. Overweight children become over weight adults. Obesity in childhood and adolescence may be associated with a range of medical and psychological complications, and can predispose individuals to serious health problems in adult life. Overweight children have a higher chance of developing Diabetes, incurring heart disease as adults among other health related illnesses. At the Family Martial Arts we sweat while we have fun. Did you know that Karate uses many leg and core muscles that burn more fat than almost any other exercise available to children. Ask certified personal trainer, health consultant, and former competitive body builder Alfonso Martinez. “I realized that neither of my children were getting the sufficient daily exercise. Since joining both my kids have really strengthened their bodies, and lowered their body fat dramatically. The work outs are massive. I should know after 4 years I’m a Black Belt too, I love this stuff” Alfonso Martinez. Maria Borgo who has her master’s degree in nutrition loves the Family Martial Arts Academy. “I have 3 of my Kids here soon going on 4, I tell you this is the best thing you can do for your kids. I must have visited 9 schools before choosing Family Martial Arts” Maria Borgo Masters in Dietetics and Nutrition. |
